THE GREATEST MANUFACTURER OF ROLLING STOCK IN THE MIDDLE EAST:

Wagon Pars Co.was founded in 1974 and started manufacturing different types of rolling stocks in 1984 with the Joint investment of Iran Development and Renovation Organization (IDRO) and the Islamic Republic of Iran `s Rail Road  (IIRR).

The plant is situated in  an area of 33 hectares in the township of Arak.
 

The company `s first line of production (tank wagon) was officially inaugurated on October 15, 1984.

Other production lines for manufacturing Flat, Ballast and Hopper wagons as well as passenger coaches were gradually launched.

The nominal capacity of the annual production is as follow:

- 1,000 different types of freight wagons,
- 100  Passenger coaches
- 20  Locomotives
-  2,500  Freight wagons, as well as overhauling.
 

Since the beginning, Wagon Pars Co. has been able to supply its high-tech products by taking the advantages of modern standards of European railroads (UIC) and soon became one of the most reputable and reliable manufacturers and exporters of wagons worldwide.
